Whether you are a true wine aficionado or just taking your first steps into the world of wine, De Wet Cellar offers a relaxed, intimate tasting experience in our beautifully renovated tasting lounge with outdoor patio and service attuned to guest interests and preference. Wine Tasting

Wine tasting, the sampling and evaluation of wines as a means of enhancing the appreciation of them. Therefore we at De Wet Cellar offers you multiple wine tasting options:

1.  Wine Tasting - A more relaxed tasting. More suited for the casual wine taster that happens to drive past the cellar or some friends just wanting to enjoy a relaxing wine tasting at their own pace. For only R50 you can choose any 5 of our De Wet wines available. We will provide you with some information about the wines you chose, while you sit back and enjoy! (Please let us know in advance if you are a group of 5 people or more)

2. Vintage Mashup & Chocolate Pairing – What's better than wine and chocolate? Join us for a pairing of the three wines in our Vintage Mashup range, expertly paired with artisanal chocolates from The Chocolatier. All for only R65. This is a relaxed wine tasting option for the casual wine drinker to enjoy! (Please let us know in advance if you are a group of 5 people or more.)

3. Gin Tasting: Join us for a flavour-filled experience featuring Six Dogs Gin. You may choose any 3 of the 4 unique gin flavours available, served with a tonic and delicios garnish to bring out even more flavour and colour to your experience - for only R80 per person! (Please let us know in advance if you are a group of 5 people or more.)

4. Harvest platter: Treat your taste buds with this poppular Harvest platter. Locally sourced cheeses, bread, cold meats, fruits and preserves which includes our home style olives. Enjoy your platter with one of our wine tasting options or your favourite bottle of De Wet wine.  (The Harvest platter is always available, but it is advisable to confirm with us in advance for groups more than 8 people to ensure stock availability.)

5. Kiddies Pairing: Treat your little ones to our delightful Kiddies Pairing experience, featuring two refreshing grape juices perfectly matched with sweet treats. While they enjoy their tasting adventure, kids can explore and play on our exciting jungle gym, giving parents a moment to relax. Light snacks are also available, making it the perfect family-friendly outing for all ages.

Functions & Conference Facilities

De Wet Cellar offers a fully equipped conference room and relaxed, intimate tasting lounge with outdoor patio and service attuned to guest interests and preference. We offer in-house assistance with planning your function/conference step by step. To give you peace of mind, a floor manager will always be present on the day to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

We offer our our own wines, grape juices and other beverages to choose from. Quotations can be planned according to your budget. We further offer a locally sourced cheese and meat platter, wine tastings, as well as catering by appointment for smaller groups, for breakfast or lunch.

Whether you are hosting a conference, function, bridal shower or year-end function, our beautiful tasting lounge and outdoor patio will cater to your taste. Whether intimate or more corporate, we can create the atmosphere you desire.

Functions Venue

Venue hire Includes: Tables, chairs / benches, cutlery, crockery, glassware and cleaning of the venue afterwards. Any additional catering, décor, flowers, candles and/or music are to be arranged by yourself, alternatively this can be quoted seperately on request.

Conference Room

Hire Includes: Data projector and screen, Table for laptop, plugs for electrical equipment This a well ventilated and light room with a table and comfortable chairs.
